Thunder Road Bar & Grill
We are a local business looking for a bartender capable of providing friendly and attentive service to our patrons. Your duties primarily include working the bar area serving drinks, taking orders/payments, and keeping a sanitary work space while performing other minor duties such as updating signboards, changing TV channels, answering the business phone, and remaining knowledgeable on upcoming events.
General managing skills and experience in a restaurant are highly valued but not strictly necessary for consideration, and those with such experience seeking promotion are a big plus. Those seeking stable and long-term employment are favorable. Part time starting / Full time is possible as we grow. We don't overstaff so good tips are made.
Expectations:
- Ability to work afternoons, late evenings, and some holidays with schedule flexibility
- Utilize a computer POS system for processing orders and payment
- Producing beverages in a timely and fashionable manner
- Knowledge of beers, liquors, mixes, and spirits
- Easygoing demeanor and good communication skills
- Cleaning throughout shift, workspace preparation, stocking the bar
- Basic customer service such as kindly greetings and taking questions
- Confirm all patrons are over the age of 21
- Occasionally assist serving staff with large parties
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene with unsafe drinking
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Basic math and organizational skills
- Able to read and speak English
- Comfortability in customer service and multitasking
- Hygienic
- Ability to squat and lift numerous times to access potentially heavy product such as bottles and beverage cases, standing and walking throughout shift
