Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Part-Time Custodian/Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle custodial supplies and chemical agents safely while adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting, and touch-ups to keep facilities in excellent condition.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks involving furniture, supplies, or equipment while following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness by performing industrial cleaning duties, including floor care, buffing, and trash removal.
- Support facilities maintenance activities by inspecting equipment, reporting issues promptly, and assisting with repairs as needed. Maintain maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and tools are stored properly and used efficiently to maximize safety and effectiveness.
- Oversee the grounds of the facilities for cleanliness.
- Follow security procedures at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with floor care equipment such as buffers and experience performing floor buffing and maintenance.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following health guidelines to prevent accidents or exposure. Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and maintained.
- Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment.
- Experience in general facilities maintenance is required for repairs, electrical, HVAC operation, painting and small to medium repair work.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures, including the use of specialized cleaning tools and supplies for various areas of the facility.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be self-motivated.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
