UCPSA-WorkAbility Employment Instructor
Part Time (15-25 hours per week)
Hours: Monday-Friday (availability either 8a-12p OR 12p-5p)
Wage: $19.00/hour
WorkAbility is a dynamic department of local non-profit UCP of Southern Arizona who provides individualized and supportive employment programs dedicated to preparing people with varying disabilities for sustainable and fulfilling work opportunities. Our team helps our clients recognize their abilities, secure employment catered to their interests and strengths, and ensure individualized support is provided during employment for long term success for both the client and the employer.

Primary Job Duties
- -Adhere to and teach WorkAbility Transition to Employment curriculums and lesson plans
- Complete class activities and assessments as scheduled
- Track student goals and progress and complete necessary reporting/documentation
- Organize class mock interviews and field trips to potential employers
- -Organize and Manage Internship sites/projects
- Maintain relationships and communications with job internship sites
- -Delegate tasks between students
- -Survey business during and after internship
Minimum Qualifications
- -At least 2 years of direct teaching experience with adults with a disability (ex. Job Coach, Habilitation Provider, Registered Behavior Technician etc.)
- -Ability to work with people with a variety of disabilities (ex. physical, cognitive, serious mental illness etc.)
- -Must have reliable transportation and willing to drive to a variety of sites and transport members as needed
- -Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass DES background check
- -Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills such as Google Drive and Microsoft Word
- -Professional and organized written and verbal communication skills
- -Ability to navigate difficult situations with members and/or business professionally to resolution
- -Available to work a flexible schedule to meet needs of students
- -Able to work independently and with a team
- -Willingness to follow all UCPSA-WorkAbility Policies and Procedures
