Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for real estate. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the leasing process, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current residents. Your expertise in property management and leasing will contribute to the overall success of our community.
Duties
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants, highlighting features and benefits.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and maintaining positive relationships with residents.
- Utilize property management software for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations throughout the leasing process.
- Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants through upselling techniques and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to address tenant concerns related to property maintenance and facilities management.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, including contracts and tenant communications.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on industry trends, legal changes, and best practices in property leasing.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Proven sales skills with experience in upselling products or services.
- Excellent conflict management abilities to handle tenant disputes effectively.
- Proficient in administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and office experience.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are required for effective interaction with clients and residents.
