We are a fast paced Japanese shop off auto row in Santa Rosa. We mostly service Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan and Mazda. We are a small family run shop with a very loyal customer base. We are currently looking for an entry level Shop Assistant. This position assists with day to day tasks. They help the owners process cars and assist the mechanics when needed. Opportunity to learn about cars while on the job. It would be great for a younger person looking to get a foot hold into the auto industry. Prior shop experience is not required. This is a full time job.
Job Description:
- Assisting the shop manager with processing repair and service jobs .
- Torquing lug nuts/ lubing doors/ applying lube stickers.
- Inflating tires and checking under hood fluids.
- Scanning Check Engine Lights.
-Moving cars around parking lot.
- Assisting the office manager with entering Parts onto a Customers Invoice.
-Stocking shelves with parts.
- Cleaning shop
-Light repairs like headlight bulb installs/ battery replacements
-Turns into a Lube Tech position after a while.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in learning about car repair. We are looking for people that are honest, follow direction and can work as part of a small team to get the job done! A valid CA drivers license and clean driving record is a must. This job is physical and requires lots of heavy lifting! Please be able to lift 50lbs.
