As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support to enhance independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, or nursing homes. This role offers an opportunity to foster trusting relationships while delivering high-quality care that promotes dignity and comfort for those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and behavioral changes, and report findings to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of personal spaces
- Use specialized equipment to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Support residents with cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in meaningful activities
Requirements
- Prior experience in a 6 bed home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; and Home Health Aide (HHA) certified, and on guardian for background check. Ongoing training encouraged
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your ability to provide tailored support
- Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely and effectively; familiarity with Hoyer lifts is a plus
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities

Pay: $150.00 - $160.00 per day
