Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs to recommend suitable products or services
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and cash management software
- Handle cash drawer operations, including balancing at the start and end of shifts
- Assist customers with retail lending options, loan collections, and financial product inquiries
- Perform data entry for sales records, customer information, and transaction details with precision
- Maintain knowledge of retail store products, promotions, and banking or financial services offerings
- Support inventory management by organizing merchandise and conducting stock counts when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or retail store environments with a focus on customer service
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with financial software systems used for processing transactions and managing customer accounts
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers and explain financial or retail products
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently using 10 key typing skills or similar tools
- Knowledge of banking or financial services including loan processing and collection procedures is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks such as processing cash transactions while providing excellent customer service
