An established complex litigation firm with over 75+ years in practice and national recognition for its insurance and litigation defense work is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate with 2-6+ years of experience to join their team in Austin, TX. This position principally involves the defense of labor and employment and commercial matters, with active responsibility for depositions, hearings, and trials alongside ongoing client advisory work.
Offer:
Salary range: $135,000-$185,000+, contingent on experience plus bonus opportunities

Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
Brings 2-6+ years of civil litigation experience with a defense orientation
Demonstrates strong litigation skills across depositions, hearings, and trials
Possesses excellent advocacy and legal writing abilities
Handles labor and employment and commercial disputes with confidence
Capable of managing a case independently while remaining receptive to partner direction
Responsibilities:
Defend clients in labor and employment and commercial litigation matters
Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials with limited oversight
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity
Manage active caseloads from pre-suit posture through resolution
Collaborate with partners while independently advancing case strategy
Advise clients on litigation risk, compliance, and exposure
