We are a high-volume truck and automotive repair company seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager / Parts Procurement Specialist to join our team.
This is a key position within our operation. We are looking for someone who understands the urgency of keeping vehicles moving, knows how to source parts quickly and accurately, and can build strong supplier relationships that save time and money.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and source parts efficiently for cars, light-duty trucks, and heavy-duty trucks
- Shop pricing aggressively to ensure the best value without compromising quality
- Establish and negotiate pricing agreements and volume discounts with suppliers
- Develop long-term partnerships with vendors willing to work with a high-volume repair facility
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to keep jobs moving without delays
- Verify accuracy of parts ordered and received
- Manage returns, warranty claims, and core returns
- Track pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain organized records of vendors, pricing structures, and purchasing history
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive or truck parts procurement
- Strong knowledge of automotive and heavy truck parts
- Established relationships with suppliers (preferred but not required)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency
