Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support infrastructure projects and site development. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project progress, adherence to safety standards, and high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities
- Experience in commercial Grade and layouts. Having a CDL IS A PLUS. Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material transportation tasks.
- Maintain safety protocols by conducting pre-operation inspections of equipment and ensuring all machinery is in proper working condition before use.
- Assist with site preparation activities such as clearing land, leveling surfaces, and moving materials to support construction workflows.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Follow all operational procedures related to construction site safety and equipment handling.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation.
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment and other major brands.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or tanker trucks.
- Hands-on experience operating a variety of machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
