- Prepare and cook menu items according to Fuel Kitchen recipes and standards
- Maintain portion control, quality, and presentation consistency
- Assist with prep including chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Work collaboratively with fellow cooks and kitchen staff
- Maintain speed and accuracy during peak service times
- Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership
- Support smooth kitchen flow from prep through service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
- Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized
- Comply with all health department and Fuel Kitchen policies
- Practice proper handwashing, glove use, and temperature controls
- Assist with inventory awareness and restocking
- Properly label, date, and store food items
- Minimize waste and follow proper storage procedures
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stay focused and productive during busy shifts
- Strong work ethic and team-first mindset
- Willingness to learn and follow established recipes and systems
- Pride in clean workspaces and consistent execution
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly in a kitchen environment
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and open holidays
- Attendance at required meetings and training sessions
- Cut corners on cleanliness or food safety
- Struggle with punctuality or attendance
- Prefer unstructured kitchens
