Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods within a designated local area, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires proficiency in operating Day Cabs with 53 Foot Trailers types.
Duties
- Operate trucks, including tractor-trailers for local deliveries.
- Safely drive and maneuver vehicles through various traffic conditions.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations.
Experience
- 2 YEARS DRIVING EXPERIENCE.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating Class A Equipment.
- Experience loading and unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
