Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday
Location: 6104 Old Quarry Rd, Birmingham, AL 35235
Position Overview
We are looking for motivated individuals who want to grow into true landscape professionals—not just operate equipment. This role focuses on landscape maintenance, horticultural best practices, and professional site care for high-end residential and commercial properties.
No direct experience is required. We will train the right person. Candidates with prior landscape or horticulture experience may qualify for higher starting pay and faster advancement.
This position is a pathway toward becoming a Landscape Professional and, for the right individual, future opportunities in account management and leadership.
What You’ll Do
As a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member, you’ll work as part of a professional team delivering high-quality site care with attention to plant health, detail, and client expectations.
- Perform landscape maintenance services for residential and commercial properties
- Apply good horticultural practices to protect and improve plant health
- Perform correct pruning methods for shrubs, ornamental trees, and perennials
- Assist with seasonal landscape tasks, bed care, and site detailing
- Maintain clean, professional job sites and company vehicles
- Safely operate and maintain landscape tools and equipment
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Communicate professionally with clients and supervisors regarding site conditions and service needs
- Support weekly production and quality goals
- Learn and explain company service programs to customers as you advance
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
1. Strong work ethic with physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
2. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills or techniques related to horticulture and landscape maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No experience required – training provided
- Previous landscape, horticulture, or related experience = higher starting pay
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry 50–90 pounds
- Must be 18 or older (insurance requirement)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Spanish is a plus
- Basic comfort with mobile apps or digital tools is helpful
Pay & Growth
Starting Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
More experience = higher starting pay and faster advancement into senior crew, account support, and leadership roles.
