Assistant General Manager

DoubleTree by Hilton is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead our hotel. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will work alongside the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel, support department leaders, develop team members, ensure operational excellence, and help drive financial success. When the General Manager is away, you will confidently lead the property and ensure seamless hotel operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of all hotel departments.
- Lead, coach, and develop department managers and hotel associates.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and promptly resolve guest concerns.
- Maintain company and brand standards throughout the property.
- Monitor hotel performance, labor costs, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with department leaders to achieve financial and operational goals.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assume leadership responsibilities in the General Manager's absence.
What We're Looking For
- Previous hotel management experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to motivate teams and build positive employee relationships.
- Excellent guest service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, labor management, and financial performance.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Five or more years of hotel leadership experience preferred.
