We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to treat patients and promote good oral health practices for 1 day a week (Wednesday). 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Beautiful, comfortable office with your own 2 dental hygiene rooms. Dental Hygienist duties will consist of conducting comprehensive or periodic patient evaluations, periodontal charting, cleaning teeth (oral prophylaxis), bitewings, P.A.s, and/or panoramic radiographs, and fluoride treatments. Our office uses Eaglesoft Software. Good oral prophylaxis is the priority, not selling services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Clean and protect patients’ teeth (oral prophylaxis and apply fluoride as needed)
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
- Take X-rays (Bitewings, P.A.s, and/or Panorex)
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Outstanding communication skills
- A friendly personality
- Valid license to practice
