Summation of Job Description:
Welds a variety of metal objects together by means of a welding apparatus. Interprets drawings, sketches or other specifications. Determines material required and sequences of pieces to be welded in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain workflow of material to be welded and ensure material is welded to specifications and check off sheets. This position requires a minimum of 2-10 years’ experience with the Company and/or displaying above average (TIG) welding skills.
Specific Duties of Job Description:
· Follow all Company procedures.
· Strict adherence to confidentiality agreement.
· Completes assignment sheet each week in above average times.
· Properly operate welding machine for work being done.
· Possess ability to jig work pieces in such a manner as to insure squareness, etc.
· Possess the ability to make sub-assemblies with the assurance that all pieces will fit properly into the final assembly.
· Ensure that all paperwork is completed properly through the assembly process.
· Ensure that each product is welded correctly and to Company quality standards.
· Deliver products to assembly area for finishing. Be sure all paperwork is delivered with each product.
· Keep the welding area clean and organized.
· Assist in other welding areas as needed.
· Look for time saving ways to weld products and notify supervisor of ideas in writing.
· Be flexible enough to handle changes in priorities based on customer needs.
· Positive attitude toward job, personnel, and Company to be displayed at all times.
· Close attention to detail, deadline criticality, organizational skills and regular work hours are required for this position.
· Special projects and other duties as assigned.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in TIG welding
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting welding codes and standards
- Strong knowledge of various types of metals and their welding characteristics
- Ability to rig materials for welding operations
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for measurements
