CNC Lathe Machinist
Tinker Manufacturing is a growing CNC machine shop supporting aerospace and defense customers across the U.S. We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role as workload continues to increase.
What You’ll Do
· Set up and operate CNC lathes and Mills
· Run jobs utilizing live tooling and sub-spindle operations
· Select tooling, establish offsets, and optimize cycle times
· Perform in-process inspections
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
· Troubleshoot tooling, machining, and quality issues
· Assist in developing efficient machining processes
· Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
· Work independently while supporting overall shop production goals
What We’re Looking For
· 5+ years CNC mill, lathe experience preferred
· Experience with Mazak controls strongly preferred
· Experience with live tooling and sub-spindle machining preferred
· Experience with live tooling
· Ability to perform complete setups with minimal supervision
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
· Proficient with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment
· Experience machining aerospace, defense, or tight-tolerance components is a plus
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Reliable attendance and positive attitude
Pay and Schedule
· $24–$34/hour based on experience and capability
· Full Time
· Overtime opportunities available as workload requires
