Description:
PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Engineer will provide support to the manufacturing team to facilitate efficient operations, to optimize existing processes and to ensure that production goals are met.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Provide Engineering support for the in-house manufacturing of various product lines.
- Work Cross functionally, on a daily basis, with Operations, Supply-Chain and Quality, to Solve manufacturing issues.
- Review, evaluate and implement engineering changes and specification requirements.
- Develop, Design, and manufacture Fixtures and/or Equipment to aid in the support of various manufacturing processes.
- CNC programming for Turning and Milling (Mastercam preferred or equivalent)
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency.
- Perform occasional administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, enforcing regulations or compliance and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures and specifications.
- Review product designs to verify conformance with applicable specifications.
- Assist in other work areas and perform all other related duties as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical, industrial or equivalent).
- Work History: 3+ years of engineering experience in a product development/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret both component and assembly technical drawings.
- Strong Inventor 3D solid modeling experience.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with little or no supervision.
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to utilize metrology equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication.
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.

PREFFERED SKILLS
- Hydraulic and Pneumatics Product Design.
- Machine/mechanical design – Castings, Machined Components, Spring Design, Threads, O-Rings/Seals.
- GD&T Experience.
- Familiar with Casting Manufacturing Process. (Including Weld Repair)
- Hands-On exposure to CNC Machining (Milling & Turning).
- Understanding of Welding practices and principles.
- Material Knowledge (Steels, Stainless Steels, and Bronze/Brass).
- Understanding Bill of Materials.
- Protective Finishes (Zinc Plating, Nickel Plating, Painting, and Anodizing).
- ERP system experience.
- Engineering change processes.
- Experience with MIL-SPECS, ANSI, ASME, ISO standards.
- Experience in Quality methods used to problem solve; Determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
