An incumbent in this position is expected to analyze data compiled from various sources, prepare narrative and financial information, and provide recommendations. Key responsibilities vary based on the primary area of assignment and may include but are not limited to:
- Budget development and monitoring of public sector budgets
- Financial forecasting, variance analysis, and cost benefit analysis for public programs
- Community redevelopment, ad-valorem / tax research, and policy analysis
- Grants monitoring, reporting, and compliance associated with disaster cost recovery
