Odessa Consultants is currently seeking a full time Medical assistant who is dependable, proactive and a great team player with great positive outlook.
Responsibilities include,but are not limited to:
Rooming patients,
Getting vitals
Reviewing patient medications
Review and document patient drug allergies
Administering Injections (medications, vaccines)
Calling in prescriptions/E-scribe /Prior-AUTH per Physician order or as delegated
Calling patients with test results per Physician orders
Return patient calls, resolve patient issues
Scheduling patient referrals
Review medical information forms for completion
EKG
In house procedures (will be given training)
EMR Documentation/record upload
Phlebotomy
Stocking rooms with supplies/ medical documents
Disinfect patient rooms and exam tables
Assist physician with minor office procedures
Clean and prepare exam rooms for next patient appointment
Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader, administration, or providers.
Qualifications:
Work Experience:6 months- 1 Year experience in a medical office setting with duties including but not limited to: Rooming patients, getting vitals, reviewing patient medications/drug allergies, administering Injections, calling in prescriptions/E-scribe, calling patients with test results, scheduling patient referrals, EKG, EMR experience.
Education:High school diploma or GED
General Attributes/skills:
