Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in our Residential Group Homes. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them in daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to person-centered care and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Provide support in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Implement individualized care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement.
- Help with medication administration as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- High school diploma/GED required. Must be 21 years or older to apply. Must have valid Arkansas Driver's License. Must be able to pass drug screening and applicable background checks.
- Ability to assist clients with physical tasks, including lifting when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate approach toward client care and a commitment to enhancing quality of life.
- Ability to work flexible hours. We are currently seeking workers for weekends Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
