Summary
As a Special Education Teacher at ICBEYOND Caribe, you will play a vital role in fostering the educational growth of children with diverse learning needs. This position is for homeschooling and it is essential in delivering tailored instruction and support to help students achieve their fullest potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Utilize positive behavior interventions to promote a supportive classroom environment.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, including math and literacy.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education or equivalent credentials.
- Proven experience working with children with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and educational strategies for special needs students.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and professionals.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles.
- Experience working with Elementary school students.
- Passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
