Title: After School Program Associate - Preschool/ TK (part-time)

All Saints Day School seeks energetic and proactive team players to serve as After-School Program Associates in our preschool and TK program. The school’s “After Care” program runs daily during the school year, and the hours for this position are generally Monday to Thursday, 2:45-5:15, Friday 2:45-4:30. Members of the After Care team are responsible for supervising students, leading indoor and outdoor activities, and supporting students with homework as needed.
This is a limited, part-time position. The school anticipates paying candidates for this position $17-$23 per hour, based on factors such as experience, education, and any additional duties assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during the After Care program, including outdoor free play, snack time, and homework time
- Assist in administrative needs to support program activities, such as maintaining daily attendance records
- Facilitate relationship-building between students and provide conflict resolution support as needed
- Communicate with parents daily during pick-up time, providing student updates
- Observe and enforce school rules and all health and safety regulations
- Help maintain and organize the After Care program supplies and spaces
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Must be able to provide (or obtain) a valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting and background check
- Broad knowledge and an appreciation of child development
- Creativity, flexibility, and a growth mindset, with an interest in being part of a community of learners
- If working in our licensed preschool program with preschool-aged children:
- Completion of the required 12 units ECE/CD (including core courses); transcripts demonstrating the required units must be provided through the application process
- Experience working in an early childhood setting
- Valid California Child Development Assistant Permit preferred
- Understanding of California state child care licensing requirements and a willingness to ensure compliance
