Job Description: Live Stream Breaker (Coins & Collectibles)
We are looking for a highly responsible and enthusiastic individual to host and manage live breaking shows on the Whatnot and TikTok platforms. As a Live Stream Breaker, you will be the face of our division, showcasing products, interacting with a live audience, conducting auctions, and managing the entire breaking process from start to finish.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong on-camera presence, and a genuine interest in coins, currency, and precious metals. You do not need to have a lot of prior coin knowledge to apply—we will teach you everything you need to know about the products—but any existing knowledge is a major plus!
Responsibilities
- Host engaging and energetic live breaking shows on Whatnot and TikTok according to a set schedule.
- Clearly and accurately present coins, currency, precious metals, and collectibles on camera.
- Manage live auctions, including lot creation, bidding processes, and final sale confirmations.
- Interact dynamically with viewers in the live chat, answering questions and building community rapport.
- Accurately record sales data, customer information, and break results.
- Maintain a clean and organized breaking station.
- Adhere to Whatnot and TikTok platform guidelines and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth show execution and inventory management.
- Troubleshoot basic streaming equipment or software issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Proven track record of responsibility and reliability. (Please highlight this on your resume/cover letter!)
- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred, especially if it involved live interaction or product demonstration.
- Familiarity with the Whatnot and TikTok platforms is a significant plus.
- An interest in the collectibles space. Existing knowledge of coins and numismatics is a strong plus, but not required as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable and confident speaking on camera to a live audience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Basic technical proficiency with live streaming equipment (webcams, microphones, lighting) is a plus, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by show schedules.
