Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support culinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas including kitchens, dining spaces, restrooms, and common areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring workstations are tidy and ready for service.
- Handle food safety practices by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene protocols.
- Support serving staff during busy meal periods by bussing tables, refilling supplies, and ensuring a clean dining environment.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by staying proactive, organized, and attentive to the needs of the kitchen and hospitality areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued!
- Basic knowledge of food handling safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with banquet events or hotel operations is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to follow all health regulations and safety guidelines diligently.
