Laundry Attendant

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Macon North is looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team.
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, organizing, and maintaining the hotel's sheets, towels, and other linen. This is a fast-paced and physically active position that requires good attendance and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel sheets, towels, pillowcases, and other linen.
- Keep laundry moving throughout the shift so clean linen is available for Housekeeping.
- Sort dirty linen and properly separate clean and dirty items.
- Check linen for stains, damage, or excessive wear.
- Rewash stained linen when necessary.
- Keep clean linen shelves stocked and organized.
- Load and unload commercial washers and dryers.
- Clean dryer lint traps and maintain laundry equipment properly.
- Keep the laundry room clean, safe, and organized.
- Report equipment problems or linen shortages to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Properly use and store laundry chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Assist with stocking linen closets and delivering linen when needed.
- Help the Housekeeping team with other duties when necessary.

- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person.
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to:
- Stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Bend, reach, and lift throughout the day.
- Load and unload washers and dryers.
- Push and pull laundry carts.
- Handle large amounts of wet and dry linen.
- Work in a warm laundry-room environment.
Schedule
Candidates must have dependable availability based on the needs of the hotel.
Schedules may include:
- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Morning and daytime shifts
Weekend availability is required.
Hotel housekeeping operates seven days a week, and reliable attendance is very important for this position.
