Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security & Smart Home Systems Technician who can confidently install, service, troubleshoot, and support a wide range of low-voltage systems.
The ideal candidate is technically skilled, self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable identifying opportunities to recommend additional products and services that benefit the customer.
This position combines hands-on field work with customer interaction and commission opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Install, program, and service:
- Security camera systems
- Alarm systems
- Access control systems
- Smart home automation systems
- Audio/video systems
- Structured cabling and networking equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.
- Conduct residential and commercial site walkthroughs.
- Train customers on proper use of their systems.
- Identify opportunities to recommend upgrades and additional solutions.
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and documentation within company software.
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after installations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Travel to job sites throughout Conroe, Houston, and surrounding areas.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing and servicing low-voltage systems.
- Experience with:
- Security camera systems
- Alarm systems
- Structured cabling
- Basic networking
- Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, crawl attics, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred
- Texas Alarm Installer License.
- Control4 certification or experience.
- Alarm.com experience.
- Qolsys experience.
- Access control experience.
- Audio/video installation experience.
- Networking experience.
