Responsibilities:
1. Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including case setup, drafting and filing legal documents, and trial preparation.
2. Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys, including legal research, gathering and analyzing evidence, and preparing legal arguments.
3. Interact directly with clients to gather case details, update them on case progress, and address their queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
4. Ensure legal compliance in all case management activities and maintain accurate case files and records.
5. Utilize legal software for efficient case management and documentation.
6. Draft, proofread, and edit a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
7. Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Apply critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex legal issues.
9. Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive client information.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
2. Proven experience in case management, litigation support, legal compliance, and client interaction.
3. Proficiency in drafting and editing legal documents.
4. Strong knowledge of legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred.
9. Familiarity with the laws and regulations pertaining to personal injury cases.
10. Proven ability to maintain professionalism and demonstrate empathy when interacting with clients who may be in distress.
11. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
12. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
