SUMMARY
As a key member of the leadership team, the Quality Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success as it pertains to the quality of the customer experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job. This is a management level position requiring flexibility and creativity to achieve business objectives and are not limited to the below listed responsibilities.
· Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards and collaboration/coordination with offsite Quality Management.
· Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS) through training and auditing.
· Lead internal and external audit programs; interface with customers, regulatory bodies (e.g., FAA, DoD), and certification organizations.
· Ensure all products meet customer, regulatory, and internal specifications before delivery.
· Oversee and drive effective implementation of non-conformance issues and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Manage and mentor the Quality Assurance Specialist.
· Oversee first article inspections (FAI), process validations, and production part approval processes (PPAPs).
· Monitor and report on key quality metrics (e.g., DPPM, NCRs, scrap rate, OTD quality performance).
· Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
· Support supply chain team in supply chain quality.
· Support continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
· Support configuration management and document control efforts as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Must always practice good safety habits.
MUST HAVES
- Must have been in a manufacturing or assembly environment previously
- Must be familiar with lean principles (i.e. have participated in a lean project)
- Must have experience and takes energy from being in fast-paced roles
- Must have trainer experience - whether in a former leadership role or not

QUALIFICATIONS
· Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
· 5+ years of quality experience in the Regulated Industry.
· Strong knowledge of Industry Quality Standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP, etc.)
· Experience leading audits (internal, customer, third-party).
· Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
· Proficiency in quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, MSA, etc.).
· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
· Authorization to work in the United States.
