Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including, flatbeds, and other specialized equipment(moffet forklift)
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, report issues promptly, and maintain logs according to DOT regulations.
- Manage logistics cargo handling, including securing loads properly for safe transport across long distances.
- Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, providing excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving.
- Experience operating flatbeds or other specialized trucks preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards.
- Prior delivery driving experience with a focus on freight transportation across multiple routes.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading processes, and cargo security.
