Part-Time Organist
Compensation: $16,000 - 18,000 dependent upon experience

- Responsibilities
- Provide organ music for Sunday morning worship, including prelude, offertory, communion music (when scheduled), and postlude.
- Accompany congregational hymns with confidence and sensitivity to worship.
- Accompany the church choir during weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship while the choir is in season.
- Participate in special worship services throughout the year, including Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter, Christmas Eve, and other significant occasions.
- Arrange for a qualified substitute when unavailable
- Qualifications
- Proficiency in organ performance.
- Experience accompanying congregational singing and choirs preferred.
- Strong sight-reading skills.
- Reliability, professionalism, and good communication skills.
- An appreciation for the mission and ministry of the church. Membership at Newtown United Methodist Church is not required.
