Quality Control Manager – Construction Operations
Parry Custom Homes
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Western PA, WV, OH
Parry Custom Homes is not looking for an inspector.
We are looking for a technical leader who will own the quality of every home we build.
This is a manager-level role with authority, responsibility, and accountability. You will define how our homes are built, enforce the standards in the field, and build the systems that eliminate repeat mistakes.
If you are comfortable operating at a high level, holding strong standards, and reporting the truth directly to leadership — keep reading.
If you prefer staying quiet, avoiding hard conversations, or protecting feelings over protecting standards — this is not the role for you.
Our Standard
Parry Custom Homes exists to deliver:
The best custom-designed home a consumer can buy for their money.
That means:
- Top-tier construction quality
- Strong building science
- Code excellence
- Manufacturer-spec accuracy
- Thoughtful cost control
- Homes families can afford without sacrificing integrity
You will ensure this philosophy is executed consistently in the field.
What You Will Own. Technical Authority
You will write, maintain, and continuously refine all trade-specific Scopes of Work.
These scopes will be written according to:
- Parry leadership standards
- Company philosophy
- Our market positioning
- Our unique selling proposition
- Most recently adopted IRC & IECC codes (per jurisdiction)
- Manufacturer installation specifications
- Building science best practices
You will align quality with budget reality — building exceptional homes while respecting cost discipline.
You are not writing scopes based on opinion.
You are defining how we build.
2. Internal Quality Inspection Arm
You will serve as the internal quality control division of the company.
- Inspect multiple phases on every home
- Conduct onsite inspections
- Review photo and video documentation
- Stop progression when work does not meet standards
- Document findings clearly and professionally
- Track recurring contractor and PM defects
- Create corrective action plans immediately
This role protects the homeowner and the company.
You report directly to the Head of Construction and the President.
You report facts — not filtered narratives.
3. Accountability & Training
You will:
- Hold contractors accountable
- Hold Project Managers accountable
- Train both groups to raise performance
- Turn recurring issues into structured training
- Improve systems — not just fix problems
Authority in this role comes from preparation, technical accuracy, and consistency — not ego.
You must be calm, firm, and respected.
