Job Summary
Prosperity U is seeking a highly motivated and creative student to work up to 20 hours/week as a Social Media Intern. This role will be responsible for managing, creating, engaging with, and tracking content across all platforms.
The Social Media Intern will assist in creating and executing marketing strategies to promote Prosperity U events and initiatives. This role involves managing social media content, coordinating event marketing efforts, and capturing event highlights to showcase successes. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about digital engagement.
Intern will be expected to visit onsite activities to gather materials needed for communication channels, as well as attend some events in person.
Flexibility:
Must be available to showcase at least two events per semester for each CBHP Community. Attend all Prosperity U events, and select Interfaith U events. Occasional weekend work may be required for pre-planned or scheduled postings (e.g., renewing a story to maintain engagement).
This does not include events hosted by external partners utilizing CBHP space. This position is required to work in the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity offices in the Impact and Prosperity Epicenter.

Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Content Creation
Curate, draft, and schedule engaging social media content under CBHP leadership direction
Promote upcoming events and initiatives through pre-event posts.
Capture event highlights via photography and create post-event content showcasing successes.
Actively engage with other U accounts to build relationships and build Prosperity U’s social following.
Support in the creation of digital and physical event collateral.
Event Marketing Execution
Coordinate on-campus and Epicenter marketing efforts (flyers, A-frame posters).
Support marketing campaigns for Interfaith U, Prosperity U, Theme-based communities.
Ensure timely execution of pre-event promotions, event coverage (photos/videos), and post-event summaries.
Collaborate with staff advisors to assign tasks and maintain workflow.
Other duties as assigned.
Performance Metrics
Number of social media posts per week (including event promotions and success highlights).
Weekly engagement metrics: likes, shares, and comments.
Growth in social media followers per week.
Meeting stated deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
Strong communication and writing skills. Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) The ideal applicant would be a second or third year student who has some experience managing a public Instagram account. Basic photography, copy writing, and graphic design skills (video editing also a plus). Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
