Position Summary
The Museum Manager leads the day-to-day operation of the museum floor by supervising Floor Staff, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring the museum is safe, organized, and engaging for children and families. This position serves as the operational leader during assigned shifts and helps create a fun, playful, and welcoming museum experience.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise, coach, and schedule Floor Staff
- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers
- Lead daily museum operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized museum environment
- Train and support Floor Staff and volunteers
- Support camps, field trips, birthday parties, and special events
- Monitor exhibits and report maintenance needs
- Ensure museum policies and safety procedures are followed
- Assist with educational programs and museum activities as needed
- Communicate effectively with staff and help solve day-to-day operational challenges
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Staff actively interact and play with children throughout the museum
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with children, families, education, recreation, or museums preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Weekend and some evening availability
- Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and be active throughout the workday
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
