Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development.
- Provide attentive and individualized care while building positive, trusting relationships with children.
- Encourage positive behavior through patience, positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and consistent classroom guidance.
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, diapering, naps, outdoor play, and transitions.
- Observe children and document developmental progress, milestones, interests, and individual needs.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with families regarding children's daily activities, progress, and well-being.
- Work closely with fellow teachers and center staff to maintain an organized, collaborative, and supportive classroom environment.
- Maintain appropriate supervision of children at all times and follow established safety procedures.
- Follow all center policies, health and safety practices, and applicable state childcare licensing regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or similar early childhood setting is preferred.
- Basic understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Ability to successfully complete all required state and center background checks.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced childcare environment.
- Ability to remain patient, attentive, and positive while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children.
Preferred Qualifications (Lead Teacher Candidates)
Candidates interested in a Lead Teacher position are encouraged to have:
- An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
- At least two (2) years of experience working in childcare or an early childhood education setting.
- Previous experience leading a classroom and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.

Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (no evenings or weekends)
- Pay: $14.50–$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
*Final rate depends on verified education, credentials, and childcare-related experience
- Probationary Period: 60 days or less, depending on performance.
