Duties
- Operate and monitor a variety of manufacturing machinery such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and plastics extrusion systems to produce precision parts.
- Set up equipment according to specifications, including programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and adjusting machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement tools to ensure products meet strict quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on industrial equipment and robotic systems to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely using hand tools and forklift trucks; participate in materials handling and warehouse operations as needed.
- Assemble components accurately following engineering drawings and assembly instructions to ensure product integrity.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, measurements, and quality checks in compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as plastics blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion equipment; plastics production experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and robotic systems effectively.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC lathe operation, and press brake machines is preferred.
- Ability to perform precise measurements using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes.
- Basic math skills necessary for setting up machines and interpreting technical specifications.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to machine operation, materials handling, and industrial environment standards.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments with plastics processing techniques such as injection molding or extrusion is advantageous.
