Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and client-focused Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills, along with the ability to independently manage cases while working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Responsibilities
· Manage a caseload from initial intake through resolution
· Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their legal matters
· Conduct legal research and analyze applicable laws, regulations, and case law
· Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents
· Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and negotiations
· Develop case strategies and determine appropriate legal courses of action
· Conduct and defend depositions as applicable
· Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
· Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
· Prepare cases for trial, including exhibits, witness preparation, and trial strategy
· Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, witnesses, and other parties
· Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
· Monitor case deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements
· Review and oversee work completed by paralegals and legal assistants
· Maintain detailed billing and timekeeping records
· Maintain strict confidentiality of client information
· Stay current on changes in applicable laws, regulations, and legal procedures
· Participate in client development and firm initiatives as needed
· Perform other duties consistent with the needs of the practice
Qualifications
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
· Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan
· Good standing with the Michigan Bar
· Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
· Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines
· Professional and client-focused demeanor
· Strong ethical judgment and commitment to confidentiality
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms
· Familiarity with legal case-management and electronic filing systems preferred
· 3-5 years of experience practicing law is required
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable based on experience, qualifications, legal expertise, and area of practice.

Full-time,. Schedule may vary based on client needs, court appearances, hearings, deadlines, and other legal responsibilities.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
