Lead the Financial Strategy Behind a Growing Construction Organization
Terra Contracting is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial, accounting, and administrative compliance functions for a growing group of construction and service companies with approximately $45 million in annual revenue.
This executive leadership role will oversee multiple operating companies, manage an accounting and administrative team, and partner directly with ownership to support continued growth throughout Las Vegas, Phoenix, and future markets. The ideal candidate is an experienced CFO or Corporate Controller with a strong background in construction accounting, financial leadership, and Trimble Vista (Viewpoint Vista).
Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the overall financial health of the organization, including financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, banking relationships, risk management, and administrative compliance.
This position will oversee approximately five accounting and administrative professionals while ensuring accurate, timely, and lender-ready financial reporting across multiple business entities.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support company growth.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
- Monitor profitability, margins, overhead, and working capital across multiple companies.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Ensure accurate financial statements and reconciliations.
- Manage job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, revenue recognition, and intercompany accounting.
- Coordinate audits, tax preparation, and lender reporting.
- Maintain compliance with financial reporting requirements and loan covenants.
Banking & Risk Management
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury functions.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and cash management.
- Manage insurance programs, bonding, and financial risk.
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and administrative team.
- Establish financial controls, reporting standards, and operational procedures.
- Build scalable processes that support continued company growth.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, or equivalent senior financial leader.
- Significant experience managing accounting operations for construction or multi-entity organizations.
- Hands-on experience with Trimble Vista (Viewpoint Vista).

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or similar professional designation.
- Experience overseeing multiple companies or operating locations.
- Experience managing banking relationships, bonding, and insurance programs.
- Experience supporting rapidly growing organizations.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
