Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Morning Cleaning Technician to join our dedicated facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our commercial and residential properties during the early hours of the day. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our spaces are pristine, well-maintained, and ready for daily use. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience to showcase their skills and contribute to a positive environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance
- Handle trash removal and recycling duties efficiently to uphold cleanliness standards
- Restock supplies including paper products, soap dispensers, and other consumables as needed
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to ensure facilities are in top condition
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
- Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing required
- Experience with industrial cleaning methods is advantageous
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the early morning hours
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent time management skills to complete all duties within scheduled shifts
