Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues effectively and perform repairs efficiently to ensure optimal performance of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues in diesel vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify problems with engines, transmissions, and other components.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as shocks, struts, and tires.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair, specifically with diesel engines.
- Familiarity with farm machinery and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various repair tasks.
- Knowledge of tire service procedures is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to transmit findings clearly to team members.
- Previous experience working as a mechanic in a similar environment is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $33.18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
