Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe environment that promotes developmental growth and fosters a love for learning. Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on infant milestones, including sensory exploration, motor skills, language acquisition, and social-emotional development.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, safe, and aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment that emphasizes continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular assessments of infants’ progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating updates with families.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Collaborate with families to develop individualized care plans that support each child's growth and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, including child welfare policies and emergency procedures.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and early intervention strategies.
- Strong curriculum development skills with experience in literacy education, math basics, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Proven classroom management expertise to create a positive learning environment while managing behavior effectively.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including special education needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation where appropriate for age-appropriate assessments.
