Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Houseman/Breakfast Attendant to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall comfort of our guest areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and breakfast areas. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and breakfast spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle all janitorial tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitation of surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards
- Manage floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and heavy lifting for floor maintenance
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and safety protocols
- Assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or moving furniture and equipment to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and maintaining sanitation standards throughout the property
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure guest safety at all times
Qualifications
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning techniques
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and chemical dispensers
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely in compliance with SDS guidelines and safety protocols
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Experience in hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheet (SDS) comprehension is advantageous
