Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing techniques to drywall surfaces, ensuring a smooth, seamless, and professional appearance on various commercial and residential projects. Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound, tape, and other finishing materials to drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth finish
- Sand and smooth surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work
- Inspect completed drywall work for imperfections and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to ensure proper installation and finishing procedures
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute finishing tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the finishing process
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with site experience in the construction industry
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and other finishing techniques such as stucco or tile laying is preferred
- Familiarity with construction estimating, framing, metal stud framing, door hanging, and flooring installation is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites and ability to operate hand tools and power equipment responsibly
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Prior experience in restoration industry tasks such as water damage remediation or mold remediation is advantageous
