American Truck Lines LLC is looking for Class A CDL drivers to join our team. We mainly run the Mid-west region but do run some outside of the region as well. We are looking for someone that is time efficient and willing to work. Drivers are home every weekend with option to stay out with a bonus if you wanted.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across regional or national destinations.
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport.
- Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or unforeseen issues during transit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across OTR routes.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat, tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for various cargo types such as hazardous materials or temperature-sensitive goods.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling software.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and hazardous materials regulations governing commercial trucking.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.

Pay: From $1,200.00 per week
