About Sunny Side Group Home
Sunny Side Group Home is a licensed Adult Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) located in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Our program serves adults (18 years and older) experiencing behavioral health conditions, co-occurring substance use disorders, and other challenges requiring a structured residential environment.
We provide 24-hour supervision and behavioral health support in a safe, recovery-focused setting where residents are encouraged to build healthy routines, develop independent living skills, strengthen coping strategies, and prepare for successful community reintegration.

Position Summary
Behavioral Health Technicians are essential members of our treatment team.
Working alongside behavioral health professionals, BHTs provide direct supervision, emotional support, skills coaching, and daily structure while fostering an environment that promotes healing, responsibility, and personal growth.
This position is ideal for individuals who are calm under pressure, emotionally mature, dependable, and committed to helping adults achieve greater independence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will:
- Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and therapeutic residential environment
- Supervise adult residents throughout assigned shifts
- Build professional, respectful, and supportive relationships with residents
- Encourage positive behaviors through consistency, structure, and accountability
- Assist residents with daily routines and independent living activities
- Reinforce treatment goals and individualized service plans
- Support residents in developing coping skills, communication skills, and healthy decision-making
- Utilize trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches in all resident interactions
- Monitor resident behavior and promptly report significant changes or concerns
- Complete shift documentation, behavioral observations, incident reports, and required records accurately and on time
- Assist residents with medication self-administration in accordance with Arizona BHRF regulations
- Provide transportation to approved appointments and activities as assigned
- Respond appropriately during behavioral health crises while following established de-escalation and emergency procedures
- Participate in shift change communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Maintain resident confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Follow all Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), AHCCCS, and facility policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- Clean driving record for the previous five years
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current TB documentation (within the previous 12 months)
- Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain before employment)
- Ability to successfully complete all required training
- Basic computer proficiency and accurate documentation skills

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in:
- Adult Behavioral Health Residential Facilities (BHRF)
- Behavioral health
- Substance use recovery
- Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
- Residential treatment
- Crisis intervention
- Trauma-informed care
- Case management support
- Independent living skills coaching
Work Schedule
Sunny Side Group Home operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Available schedules include:
- Day Shift
- Evening Shift
- Overnight Shift
- Weekday and Weekend Availability
As our program continues to grow, employees should be flexible to work 12-hour shifts when needed.
