Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Concrete Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing construction drawings, and managing project budgets for concrete-related work. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while fostering strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. Duties
- Analyze RFP documents, plans, and narratives to define scope.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs in compliance with bid documents.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
- Maintain a network of suppliers for rebar, concrete accessories, and related materials.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and submit final bids.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure a smooth transition from bid to execution
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, or Timberline).
- Strong understanding of concrete construction, including cast-in-place and precast methods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on concrete or heavy civil projects
- Strong knowledge of construction drawing review, interpretation of technical drawings, and blueprints
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, or similar tools
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with vendors and subcontractors
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets effectively from initial estimate through project completion
- Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety standards, and project management principles
- Familiarity with contracts, cost management strategies, and project scheduling techniques
- Construction experience in managing material requirements from blueprints and estimating quantities accurately

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
