Full time Veterinary Assistant needed for busy four and a half Doctor AAHA hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan whose focus is on high-quality client and patient care with an interest in dentistry. Technician Assistants help in both the reception area as well as the technical area. Experience preferred, but training provided to the right person Candidate must be a meticulous, outgoing team player who is great at multitasking. Responsibilities: Assist veterinarians and technicians with clinical procedures, including patient examinations, treatments, and running lab work. Help maintain a clean and organized hospital environment by sterilizing instruments, cleaning treatment areas, and preparing surgical packs. Support reception duties such as scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and managing patient records. Provide compassionate care to patients by monitoring their condition during visits and assisting with restraint when necessary. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional client service. Participate in inventory management by stocking supplies and notifying staff of low stock levels. Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of staff, clients, and animals at all times.
Qualifications: Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential. Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in animal health and client service. Team player who works well with others and adapts quickly to changing priorities. Must be reliable, outgoing, and meticulous in all tasks performed.
