The SilMan Engineering Team

As the Controls Implementation Team Lead, you will have a complete team of in-house professionals to support your efforts and collaborate with, including:

Sales, Estimating, Design, Applications, and Project Management

As CITL, you will expand on SilMan’s success by identifying opportunities and preparing winning proposals for projects like these: Multi-site improvements for OnTrac’s West Coast network, including system expansion in Buckeye, Ariz., and a new system in Vancouver, Wash.; National program for leading automated singulation solution; Pack-out system for ThredUP; Shipping system for Levi Strauss.

Service Area and Residence

The CITL will report to the Tupelo office. Remote work with occasional travel to our Tupelo office.

What does the Controls Implementation Team Lead do?

The Controls Implementation Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and ensuring the completion of engineering project deliverables directly related to project implementation. This includes training qualified engineering team members, setting and maintaining engineering schedules based on project requirements, quality assurance, and adherence to project specifications and engineering standards.

Here are some of the responsibilities of this role:

Develop strong, trusted relationships with Engineering Team Members
Assign team resources based on the project demands and resource availability, coordinating with internal team leaders
Coordinate with internal teams to
Create client plans, including individual responsibilities for each team, schedule, program milestones, deliverables, and terms of acceptance, coordinating with internal team leaders
Assign, mentor, and train engineering teammates
Coordinate and implement quality reviews for technical accuracy
Plan and execute strategies to complete engineering projects on time and on budget
Determine team member training and talent development
Supervise and direct multiple engineers and designers
Forge and maintain customer and supplier relationships
Strive to improve efficiency, sustainability of processes, and to reduce waste

You have 5+ years of experience with electrical controls design
You are skilled in effectively communicating with fellow Team Members and client representatives.

You have advanced AutoCAD skills
You are skilled in technical writing

Compensation

SilMan’s compensation packages are carefully tailored to each candidate’s experience, geographic location, and current market considerations. Our competitive base salary ranges are researched and benchmarked against similar companies in the industry.

The anticipated compensation package includes:

Competitive Base Salary

Role: Controls Implementatioin Lead

Exempt Position (Salary): Base salary & Commission TBD

Office Location: Remote Opportunity (if approved). Engineering Headquarters in Tupelo, MS.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

In addition to understanding the safety and operational norms of industrial settings, the CITL operates in a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Travel is required for this role, subject to the Team Leader’s approval.
