Headquartered in Dallas, TX with pilot production facilities in Dayton, Ohio, we are a small, high-velocity public company with approximately 25 employees, a recently closed capital raise, and a growing portfolio of commercial and licensing opportunities.
Overview
We are seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Investor Relations to lead our investor communications framework. You will serve as the primary IR and communications contact for institutional and retail investors, analysts, and shareholders, helping build STI’s investor visibility as the company scales. The ideal candidate will possess deep financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to cleanly articulate our financial performance, corporate strategy, and long-term growth prospects.
Responsibilities
- Lead investor communications for quarterly earnings releases, investor conferences, annual shareholder meetings, and press releases; manage inbound inquiries from retail shareholders and institutional contacts.
- Develop corporate messaging including scripts, presentations, Q&A documents, and investor fact sheets in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Foster strong relationships with institutional and retail investors, analysts, and shareholders to build trust and credibility.
- Monitor market trends, competitor financial performance, and economic indicators to provide actionable insights to the C-suite and Board of Directors.
- Monitor analyst coverage and estimates where available; track gaps between market expectations and internal forecasts and flag to CFO and CEO.
- Own Reg FD compliance including training executives and staff, clearing investor communications, and coordinating with Legal and Finance on disclosure controls and SEC regulatory requirements.
- Manage the IR calendar by selecting and coordinating roadshows, financial conferences, and individual investor meetings.
- Oversee IR website content, press release distribution, and social media channels; coordinate on 8-K filings and public disclosures with outside SEC counsel.
- Track Stock Performance Related to PR including analyzing reader engagement, reviewing digital advertising reports and fine tuning future PR.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, securities law, valuation modeling, and industry-specific regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; an MBA or CFA designation is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in investor relations, public company communications, or corporate finance; direct IR experience at a publicly traded company required
- Deep financial literacy with a strong understanding of financial statements, valuation models, and macroeconomic factors.
- Superb public speaking and written communication capabilities, with a proven ability to explain complex financial metrics simply. Candidates must submit a writing sample (press release, investor letter, or IR communication) with their application.
- Uncompromising ethics regarding confidential data, regulatory compliance, and market disclosure principles.
- Advanced proficiency in financial research platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Refinitiv; familiarity with IR platforms (Q4, Irwin, or similar) and SEC EDGAR also expected.
- Established network of relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts; existing coverage relationships in the cleantech or energy storage sector strongly preferred.

Pay: $185,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
