Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures by performing a variety of physical tasks on construction sites. Your energy, attention to safety, and ability to follow detailed instructions will contribute directly to the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
- Support concrete work including mixing, pouring, finishing, and cutting concrete as specified in blueprints and technical drawings
- Install rebar, formwork, metal studs, and other structural components according to construction plans
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for masonry, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration projects
- Follow all safety protocols and construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, and concrete finishing
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating equipment like concrete mixers and pumps as well as hand tools and power tools
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately for proper execution of tasks
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring/cutting/pumping, caulking, stucco application, metal stud framing, flooring installation or tile laying is highly desirable
